Who did they overtake on the in lap?
I'll applaud trying to overtake, even for 2 points. He messed it up, but, he was struggling to get past him anyway and laps were running out.mwillems wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 22:35He crashed himself out of the race when he would have made the move stick and got the place soon enough, yet you're finding a way to applaud it.
It was a dip in form from Oscar this weekend but he comes away with nearly a race win between him and Lando in the standings despite it.
But you're not just applauding an overtake attempt. You've applauding a very poorly thought overtaking attempt that could have taken them both out when the place was his sooner or later. I feel that in light of his mistakes, there is never a situation where he's done wrong in your eyes.Ben1980 wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 22:44I'll applaud trying to overtake, even for 2 points. Yes, its impacted his title fight, but I'd can live with him trying something, even if he ballsed it up.
The unusual thing for me with the whole sequence was it was Lando trying to catch someone by surprise one thing I always question with Lando is he is predictable doesn't really try overtaking where no one is expecting, though it was positive he did today. Just he then took it one step too far.Ben1980 wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 22:44I'll applaud trying to overtake, even for 2 points. He's messed it up, of course he was in the wrong. The outcome has hampered him in the title.mwillems wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 22:51But you're not just applauding an overtake attempt. It's your opinion and I respect it, but like I say. Odd.
Think you have missed Oscar out in your calcs. He’s 43 points ahead of Max. 25 for the win as you know.
Yeah I explained myself wrong. I mean to say, A few more races like today and Max can creep up to a position where a DNF could give him a championship lead. A bit dramatic, but the overall point being, at this stage of the season, we don't have a commanding lead yet.
Don't count George out in this scenario. He seems to be the - show up, do your job, do it cleanly.mwillems wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 23:16Yeah I explained myself wrong.
