That was terrible. I hope that they have some race pace. Mclarens are on another galaxy here.

It's such a short circuit, How are Mercedes and Redbull this far down?

Well, yeah, seems like that wide range of cornering speeds is still a weakness of the car (THE major weakness, I'd say), I don't think they'll be able to do much about it this season....

Embarrassing no doubt !

Let’s hope the race pace is stunning otherwise we will end up 3rd in constructor behind Ferrari ! Really poor performance for sure so far

biggest embarrassment is Antonelli not getting to do a lap in the end. Just shouldn't happen on a one minute track.

The worry is not really McLaren but more how much faster Ferrari is ahead of us… this could be really worrying for the next few races !

I think they'll be fine in Silverstone and Spa, upgrades are coming at the former event... The problem is still clearly the greater compromise they have to do with the setup when there's a wide speed range across the high-margin corners on a given track, the flexi front wing TD hasn't erased that major weakness of their's...

Honestly it could be much worst… at least we have a win and might get one more if the weather helps us :| [-o<

But I hear you you, how depressing has the new regulations have been for us!

We need to at least keep the 2nd place in
Constructor to make some progress last year was even more embarrassing constructor wise

What's up with Kimi. He keeps getting beaten by rookies around him on one lap pace. On a short circuit, his deficit to George is half a second. Almost half the season done, no sign of improvement in quali pace.

It was over when they chose the wrong design concept in 2022 and decided to stick with it for the 1st half of 2023. They need to get 2026 right or as close to it as possible. They need to understand the tyre issues in high speed corners as soon as possible.

Oh well. Weather for Silverstone looks more agreeable for Mercedes at least (high teens to low 20s air temp on the forecast).

Thank god we at least avoided another embarrassment with a grid penalty!

IMO it makes sense the team was just given a warning for the stupid mistake since nothing bad happened/ no danger in the pit lane.
