Williams FW47

Sensor package. Pressure taps from the floor are feeding into it. A rear facing thermal camera is looking through a triangular hood and aimed at the rear tire. Round multi pin connector at the front. Note this car also has deflector bulges on the diffuser like the W15 & W16.

Could it be something much simpler like a drain for rainwatter that gets throu the sidepod intakes?

It almost looks like they are bleeding air from the bottom of the radiator intake housing and injecting it into the edge of the venturi tunnels. I'm guessing that would be super illegal though.

I spy with my little eye new sidepod inlet design. The bottom of the inlet in no longer streight, but at an angle, it drops down towards the chassis. The outside is higher (compared to the N in PROTEIN) and the inside probably lower. Livery was also tweekend, as there is more bare carbon now.

I agree, it's definitely a new inlet on the sidepod. Need to wait for more pictures to see just how much it has changed.

Bigger inlet to cure the cooling issues during the races.

New sidepod inlets seen clearer here, probably also revised sidepod shape and upper part of the floor

I disagree. It is not bigger. They pinched the outboard part if the sidepod up in so it make it appear that the inboard of the inlet comes down lower. It's really reprofiling of the outboard part of the side pod imo.

Williams say in the car presentation document it's "maintaining the same inlet flow" and Dave Robson said "cooling hasn't changed".
Vowles said in Belgium, they had another temporary workaround at Spa and will have a permanent solution for their cooling issues in Hungary or the race after that. There are no upgrades declared for Hungary, but they wouldn't have to declare internal changes. It doesn't sound like fixing their issue was as simple as making the cooling inlet and/or outlet bigger:
"It's about more than just the question of how much air volume we can get through the cooling ducts," emphasises Robson. A leak in the cooling system was quickly ruled out. "The first time there were signs that something was wrong was last year in Singapore. It didn't always occur and it was difficult to recognise a pattern. It had nothing to do with the weather," reveals Vowles. [via AMuS]
