I disagree. It is not bigger. They pinched the outboard part if the sidepod up in so it make it appear that the inboard of the inlet comes down lower. It's really reprofiling of the outboard part of the side pod imo.
Williams say in the car presentation document it's "maintaining the same inlet flow" and Dave Robson said "cooling hasn't changed".
Vowles said in Belgium, they had another temporary workaround at Spa and will have a permanent solution for their cooling issues in Hungary or the race after that. There are no upgrades declared for Hungary, but they wouldn't have to declare internal changes. It doesn't sound like fixing their issue was as simple as making the cooling inlet and/or outlet bigger:
"It's about more than just the question of how much air volume we can get through the cooling ducts," emphasises Robson. A leak in the cooling system was quickly ruled out. "The first time there were signs that something was wrong was last year in Singapore. It didn't always occur and it was difficult to recognise a pattern.
