They aren't running if it pours down.
It's not even raining at all.
But they all said its about to come down hard.
So instead of racing before it's too wet we wait for it to become too wet so it's impossible to race?

I don’t want to find excuses for FIA but better to start it one hour later than having a 1 hour red flag in the middle of the race.

So basically they only go racing when it's close to a slick crossover in F1

Awesome contribution keyboard warrior
Max said it was fine other drivers too. Drivers have driven worse red flagged when it’s not raining is stupid
But its about to rain heavy. Supposedly. Its pointless running then stopping. If you can just run straight through later
Ain't it better to race for 15mins then wait for 30 mins and then race to the end instead of waiting for one hour and then race to the end?

With those f1 yes… but this morning they even canceled F3.
It was drivable IMO

They need to think about GP race if rain is not possible then drop Silverstone , Zandvoort and Spa

Kravitz saying FIA have adapted the rules to allow cars to be up to 20 lengths behind under a safety car in the wet here at Spa.

Am I going on Ground effect era hate ride, yes I am:

Stiff suspension, can't ride Kerbs as much due to the risk of floor damage, can't run the car low enough due to plank wear, can't run the car too stiff because of porpoising, tyre sensitive wheel covers that heat the tyres which is even worsen due to the outwash design, massive Venuri-tunnels that produces a massive amount of spray to even the most minimal of drizzle, cars that become unstable to even the smallest tail wind or lightest of dirty air, and even if you are in dirty air you can't follow closely, can't race closely because you don't want to risk damage that massively affects your performance, and then they increased the weight... like for what!??

Sorry guys, had to vent.  :D

If they started the race for 15minutes or so, then 3 hour clock starts. If the heavy shower comes in, its red flagged with the clock ticking down.

As of now, the clock hasn't started and they can let the worse pass.
Are you sure about this ? Ayao Komatsu just mentioned on TV that the 3 hr clock is already underway.

it's understandable to take different approach with juniors. they lack skill and experience.
these 20 though we have in f1 were supposed to be the best in the world.
and please lets not mention poor visibility again, it was always very poor and a big problem in the past in the wet, and cars were never as safe as they are now.

I read someone say it hadn't. Think from McLaren

When they red flag it during the race, everyone can change whatever they like, so those guys which gambled on a dry race would massively benefit from it.

It was pretty wet and with more rain to come - maybe they could have done a lap or two, but to me not starting at all was a sensible decision. Personally I prefer it this way

the final showers are passing through now, and then we should be good to start and get the full race in. Imo this decision was the right one
I don't think it's a right decision, that's basically waiting for a dry race.
