Red Bull RB21

New rear wing for Max, a new design from RBR, moving away from their traditional U-shaped lower plane.

This looks like a typical VCARB Monza rear wing - poor tyre life guaranteed especially given how RB21 eats tyres compared to others even when the wing level is similar. Does anyone know whether they are actually using the Austria++ floor that was brought as an 'update' to Silverstone, or whether they have reverted to an older floor ? Because the car looked like a badly setup Sauber in FP1.

Just so you know car never struggled with rear tyres, it's the front that is bad. So low d9wnfirce isn't bad but it's definitely raining in Silverstone
Halo not as bad as we thought

There may bevery light Rain 1st half of the Day, but right now none of the European and global weather models predict any significant Rain during the race. Peak Rain is 2mm. Not enough for inters.

So the track may be a bit green, but no Rain race.

The wind will pick up, so the track would dry pretty fast

The cannon shape is new, more of a half-circle, different from the pure obround, horizontal slot shapes they've used the past several seasons.

Also, the spikes on the beam wing--are they new? I don't see them on any other iteration this season.

They definitely had something like that earlier in the season, I don't remember which race though. It was another similar low downforce setup.

They are not spikes. It's a cutout in the trailing edge of the full chord beam wing as a makeshift way to cut drag and/or adjust the aero balance.

New Front Wing on RB21: The spec introduced here is for high-load tracks and will probably be used in Zandvoort, Singapore, Austin and Mexico, maybe even Brazil if found useful enough. Highly cambered on the outside, Red Bull seem to try to keep smaller upwash along the nose where the air is affecting the floor inlet

It's very different load distribution across the span compared to previous high-load spec seen in Monaco, which features a moderate upwash mid-span

The perspectives are a bit difficult to compare....did they use the same wing in Spa, just trimmed on the upper plate? I think the curvature above the "SA" from VISA looks very similar.

This recent front wing evolution is interesting. Looks very AMR22…
