Don't you think NDAs play a role in those scenarios nowadays?
Yep, agree. Horner probably could forgo any RBR payout and go that route but think his payout likely goes beyond what a book would make.He was earning $5m + pa and had 5 years left depending on base salary etc.hes probably going to be paid at least 8 figures to be quiet.lio007 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025, 22:16Don't you think NDAs play a role in those scenarios nowadays?

He could have been Director in 23 RB companies, but is only employed at one. He earned nearly 9 million pounds in 2023. Very likely a big bonus for 2 Championships included...Wouter wrote: ↑15 Aug 2025, 09:45.Watto wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025, 23:57

He was the director from 4 Red Bull companies and got >16 million a year x 5 ½ year!

Wednesday July 09 2025, 3.45pm BST, The Times
Christian Horner has been released from his operational duties as Red Bull team principal after the constructor’s poor form this season proved the final straw in an increasingly strained workplace.
Horner, 51, who has been with the team since their creation in 2005, was informed on Tuesday of the decision by the Austrian
and Thai shareholders to end his time at Red Bull.
He had been contracted with the team until 2030, and earned a salary of £12million [=14 million €] a year.
Agreed. The previous approach with tokens was so ill thought out and doomed to failure!!
The FIA uses a torque sensor. It measures the power at the driveshaft. The peak power will naturally occur in qualifying.
Ah, but if Mercedes do, as rumours would have us all believe, have the best PU again next season, there will be McLaren, Williams and Alpine also using it. Quite the trick to control the drivers from all those teams lol
Yes no doubt. but NDAs are seldom forever. They usually have a shelf life and I'm sure someone with the "leverage" of Horner (RBR did have to buy him out of his existing contract, after all) could have negotiated a shorter NDA of 5-10 years.lio007 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025, 22:16Don't you think NDAs play a role in those scenarios nowadays?
