Can teams use different engine maps to mask this if they do have a distinct advantage?? Effectively build in sandbagging and only turn up the wick if needed as the season goes on?
They probably could, but preserving your advantage by not using it seems self-defeating. I don't think we've ever seen a team sandbag for more wind tunnel time.

A much more sensible approach this time around.
Agreed. The previous approach with tokens was so ill thought out and doomed to failure!!
It was cool tracking where the tokens were spent. It revealed the engine weak points.

We should see Yuki closer to Max in the second half. Mekies is making sure of this.

He should get proper equipment, Max is not one second quicker than his teammates that just nonsense.they built a methodology around him I doubt they will be happy to see a guy who is paid 2 million get anywhere near a guy paid 75 million. They can't give Yuki a proper pitstop like in spa even if it's in there best interest. Pretty much all directors from redbull have resigned with Marko and some guy only left ,so drama is not over at that team.

I’m sure that Max’s team mates stops were quicker on average than those pit stops of Max.
It happened quite a lot in one of the seasons prior

Yes, but who moves toward whom?

I think the RedBull simulator has a glitch. It keeps showing that the fastest car is the most unstable one.... It has a weak driver in the loop code methinks.
There is just no great evidence to show that this car is at it's optimum when it's at times only a few tenths faster than the Racing Bulls (a very stably car) in the hands of a 4XWDC. It means that RedBull has making crap for about 1.5 years now.
Remember there was a point in 2023 when Sergio seriously dropped back from Max.

If Mekies can somehow fix this purported glitch and mwthodology we should see Max fighting better in the races and Yuki closer to him at the same time.

That's a whole lot of very weird assumptions put together.

The idea that the problem with Red Bull isn't the loss of Adrian Newey or certain other technical leads, but a simulator glitch? I think you're coming loose from the rails these days man.

It's not all about Newey. Does McLaren have Newey? It just doesn't make sense that the car is barely faster than a Racing Bulls in the hands of Max and is actually slower in the Hands of Yuki. Doesn't add up that this is the fastest philosophy.

Didn't Mercedes previously build a car that they claimed was, in theory, a lot faster in the simulator than in the real world because the car was so hard to set up?

They have Marshall, the car got worse when he left. I think he had a bigger impact than Newey.
