Such a shame they messed up the fuel on Hamiltons first run.

But great result for the team!
Hamilton messed up the lap on his first run.

I just can’t see how that will stand under protest.

George also needs it removing for screaming like a 12 year old girl.
This "I lifted for yellow" excuse was always bad for me. Verstappen used to do it often and it never sit right for me because they risk accidents. But the precedent was set, this might stand.

Very fast from Mercs.
Not so long ago there wasn't any requirement to brake at all. The yellow flag served as it should, as a warning for the driver. And it was fine...

Mate, maybe I understimate Hamilton as a driver, I guess, by this time, everybody realised here long ago that I don´t rate Hamilton super highly, so, if I´m wrong, then I´m being too harsh but I dont wan´t to see any "rift" between anybody. Hopefully they keep getting along well enough.
You ridicule him any chance you get, just because he drove dominant machinery most of his career. That's just silly and unnecessary.
I don´t do that so often but it will ocasionally happens because fans always hype drivers they like and mock drivers they dislike. I have seen countless times Lewis fans mocking Alonso, Verstappen, Button, Rosberg, Vettel.... Unfortunately, it has been part of F1 forums ever since I started following them in the mid 2000s.

I said he is "slowish" on RB Ring but not in a mocking way. He just never really displayed amazing speed there while in Silverstone(new layout) he had very impressive pace against most of his team mates.

About the other point, yeah, people can dream all they want, it´s just that frustration is not a nice feeling.

Ferrari, had their first ADUO? I missed that! Was that in Barcelona ? If so, would explain their jump in pace, unlike Audi

I think ultimately we have to be happy with 2-3 (even though I was celebrating a 1-2 already so feeling a bit disappointed). On pure pace, I think we’re behind both Mercedes and maybe even Max would have got by, so the result is still good.

I don’t understand how that’s only a single yellow - ought to be a double - and I thought finally we’d got a bit of luck for a change. But it’s still ultimately worked out better than probably pure pace would have given, so we’ve got to be satisfied.

I have zero clue how we’ll fair in the race. Long runs didn’t look good but it seems like we had a complete different car today, so who knows what that’ll mean for the race. You’d like to hope we still have some kind of start edge and could maybe run in clear air, but it doesn’t seem like it’s the case any more. Still, in comparison to the start of the season, we’re in great shape and this is better than I think anyone hoped for.

Every driver has strong and weaker circuits. Every top driver hasnt been able to win championships without having the best car by far or a car close to the best. Even Senna had to go to the dominant Mclaren Honda to get his titles and then when Mclaren was on the decline wanted to go to Williams race after race in 1993. Hamilton has had a career many would be jealous off. A rookie who beat Alonso on equal cars and beat Kimi in a faster Ferrari (that is if the two Saubers have been punished as they should), went toe to toe and beaten so many world champions and at age 41 still able to beat every driver half his age. The guy was able to evolve 3 different teams. I havent seen that efficiency since Senna and Schumacher. While it might sound as a hype, Ferrari is lucky to have that top of a driver in their ranks.

There is only one corner here where prioritizing entry (via super late braking) instead of exit, is rewarding. That's T4. For the other heavy braking and 90 degree turning zones - T1, T3 - prioritizing exit is more important than entry (due to the uphill entry into the corner, a chunk of advantage that a gifted late braker enjoys over other normal drivers, is taken away).
Hamilton is by default an entry-prioritizing driver, in any car, any circuit. That's why over the years, whatever car it is, he has not been 'better than others' in this circuit. If at all he has done well here, it's because of a huge car advantage.

Has Fred not realized yet that FIA has been in the pocket of Reichmarshall Wolff ? For the past many years ? Who was desperate for 'more electric proportion' formula ? and who 'offered help to the FIA' ? And why 'camerabomber sheikh' has suddenly become omnipotent with the removal of term duration from FIA presidentship ?
Didn’t Ferrari just successfully petition the FIA to nerf Merc’s diffuser?

Because FIA had nerfed a similar diffuser from Ferrari long ago. It would have been 'too obvious' had they allowed Mercedes' since it's a 'visible part'. FIA's hand was forced this time, purely due to 'precedent'.
