Is doesn't matter honestly! Aston Martin act like they never was in f1. Even more... is not the first time that they delayed things or skip small updates. I understand that for Alonso doesn't matter if 8th or 22nd. But end of the year in points is matter a lot in every aspect. In F1 and overall in competition motorsport, if you bring nothing, you learn nothing! Doesn't matter how good is the windtunnel, cfd etcetera. You need real test and confirmation about the package and new parts. But who could this know better than Aston from the past 2 years of fails, not working parts, correlation issues 🤔
They still have a lot of drivability issues they need to solve. They can address those through software. Software can be changed as needed until qualifying, so I'm sure they're working on it. I'm just not sure how much driver time that will take up during FP.
Thousands of sensors on that car when they test something, drivability issues cant be a problem, even if Fredy with feet is the pilot. They had such a long time, almost summer brake and still cant complate a race because of gearbox, because of engine, because of battery, because of blabla. Yes im pretty sure is will be better, but soon again new rules and regulations .
Shintaro Orihara was asked what he thought Honda would do if the FIA went to a naturally asperated v8, he said he thought Honda would pull out of F1.

Our strategy should be to knock out as many cars as we can as we get lapped. Put spikes on our rims like mad max!

Well, so far has been no talk whatsoever of NA engines. Only V8-s.

theyll pull out, send all their f1 people to road cars and then decide they want to jump back in within a year or two. and it all starts over again. its sad that the people in charge no longer race because they love racing. its just about what they can get out of it. pretty typical of most businesses.

If sound is what your after, the NA is the way to go. Also ban variable valve timing and you'll get those really cool sounding idling ICEs.

i bet itll have some kind of hybrid element to it. hopefully without a turbo. not sure how a lot of brand new fans would react to ear bleed type sounds though haha

Is he serious about the V8?

They will be introduced in 2031 or 2030.
So they will quit f1 in 3 -4 years again?

It was his opinion, though he explained, the decision wasn't his to make.
