Red Bull RB22

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Usually Redbull are the ones to have large cooling exits, due to the air-to-air IC that they have traditionally had, since.... since forever. Comparing with SF26, the RB22 had much tighter engine cover and gills for a hot Austria track. Surprised.

This could be related to the mysterious thing that the employee was referring to, that "would blow people's mind" (if they knew).
Possibly Red Bull came up with some major internal cooling update.

Isn't cooling architecture/components (excluding piping/routing/packaging) part of the 'PU system' that is locked unless released by ADUO ? What do the rules say ?

On another note, here is a good picture (Carpentiers) showing the side-by-side comparison of the sidepod inlet modification. Now it's looking very close to the Mercedes' inlet :

Can also see how the front wheel rim design is changed as well.

I don't think so. Red bull has had very tight cooling outlets for a few rounds now
