Exit of T7 to Entry of T16 --> no hard braking zone, totally high speed corridor. The litmus test of energy management. Can't see anything past the four Mercedes engined cars on the podium.

Ferrari might have a tough time with top speed.

Keep in mind that MnB will likely be a harvest fest, particularly in the race. It simply won't pay from an energy and tyre management perspective to push the limit through there since it sits between two major straights with no braking zones.

MnB is going to suffer the same fate as the Suzuka esses, so is going to be the fate of Spa's Radillion/Pouhon, COTA's snake&sector3, etc. Taking away the 'defining character' of a track. The curse of this recharge regulation. Like an entire TopGear episode where none of the three say something that offends someone.

Pirelli are bringing the hardest compounds in their range (C1, C2, C3).

OTOH it's Silverstone which has its own micro-climate...lol.

Seriously though, the only rain for the next week currently forecast is this evening.

Max has already been on record saying he drove Silverstone in the sim and just laughed at it because you run out of energy so fast.

They've always slowed through Maggotts-Becketts complex before accelerating through Church (T14 for those that only know numbers), so there will likely be some harvesting going on through there. Not much in the grand scheme of things, however. Likewise, I bet Copse is less than flat and will give them some regen before they set off towards Maggotts.

Ultimately, it's better to keep speed through the fast corners rather than slow significantly to gain a bit of top speed at the end of the next straight. At least in qualifying, anyway.

If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Forecast is currently dry with 25-27 degC for the whole weekend with not much cloud about on Sunday which might lead to high-ish track temps.
