SLM deactivation IIRC can be both brake or a button. It doesn't have to be just brakes. Not sure how it is on Red Bull, I think it would be crazy that they don't have a button to close it down on purpose.
Verstappen had a very similar spin in Australia during qualifying and that was attributed to something else since the wing was still in development at the time
