Is Hadjar just getting lucky with his rear wing?
It could be that he runs more downforce, which leads to slightly slower potential laptime but it's more stable in these borderline situations. It's not like Max crashes every lap.

SLM deactivation IIRC can be both brake or a button. It doesn't have to be just brakes. Not sure how it is on Red Bull, I think it would be crazy that they don't have a button to close it down on purpose.
Hadjar must be running a different level of DF.

Verstappen had a very similar spin in Australia during qualifying and that was attributed to something else since the wing was still in development at the time

What do you think about the strategy? They were saved by the VSC, and then it became irrelevant due to the crash, but I seriously did not understand what they were doing.

Car performance is one thing, but Red Bull starting to regress on operational level as well. Pit stops are subpar for a while, but lately strategy is also not as bulletproof as before. Not to mention other small things, like starts, setup issues etc. These are more concerning to me than pure car performance as these are mostly just indicate moral and organization within the team which seem to deteriorate.

Why did Hadjar change his FW in the last pit?

Max wanted a new PU and a different setup after bad qualifying. The team said no.
During the race the same things happened again. And again (3th time) the team didn't listen to Max who is behind the wheel.

I don't get Max here. I understand he was frustrared but surely qualifying in top 6 and decent pace was enough? He was running P3? when he crashed. He can't expect to do better starting from the pits.

I was 100% thinking it was about Horner but SpannersF1 just put out a tweet that there is an embargo on Max news. Now, he isn't anyway important but he was at Silverstone this wkd... really not sure what is going to come out.

If he decides to pull the exit clause, is he still obliged to finish the season? Not sure about the contract details there.

If he leaves mid-season that would indeed shake #F1 to its core.
