Where do you see rage-bait here?GhostF1 wrote: ↑16 Jul 2026, 05:17I really don't and will never understand the ragebait view behind this. Honda were totally unprepared, they admitted as much, brought in a year earlier by McLaren than they really wanted and then hamstrung by restrictive regs, but within 4 years they not only improved but managed to SURPASS both Renault and Ferrari (who never left btw) and then from 2021 to 2025 had the best PU on the field. Why is this achievement completely ignored just to flame their first couple of years (again, while handcuffed behind restrictive regs)?avada wrote: ↑14 Jul 2026, 19:44More like early 2013 this article is from may 16, referring to a recent announcement. But of course this is just the announcement, the agreement happened some time before this.
But even if they only had 2014 to develop, with the unlimited development the result would still have been well below acceptable.
They CLEARLY have the capability to do great things, and quickly. PLEASE move on lol.
Their performance then and now was sub-par, abysmal even, considering the dacades of motorsport experience. Even the fundamentals were wrong, that's why the regs were so limiting to them.
The fact that they were able to deliver after a lot of help and time spent don't excuse or wash away those 4-5 years.
And they did it again, almost exactly the same way. Apparently they just as arrogant as they were in the 2010s. They couldn't be bothered with giving enough attention and assigning the proper people that the task required.
"Move on" you say. But Honda didn't, they made the same mistakes as they did then. They won't was away this blemish any-time soon. It might take decades.
