In reverse order.
Clearly you just say that to denigrate Yuki. He was faster than Hadjar and Liam. He developed that RB that gave Hadjar and Liam those podium chances. If Yuki had remained in the VCARB, the results would have been ALOT different. Fine, let Yuki be #1 driver and Stroll can be #2. Our Honda engineers would be a lot more motivated with Yuki as one of their drivers. Yup, that's right.diffuser wrote: ↑23 Jul 2026, 14:29I would have considered him. It's one of those things where one should be careful what you wish for. He got his wish to drive for RBR and it was a complete disaster. He might be the one driver in recent F1 history that is worse than Stroll.ispano6 wrote: ↑23 Jul 2026, 03:13If Alonso leaves, they should pick up Tsunoda. He will be cheap and can speak the native tongue of the Honda engineers. He can be #2 to Lance even. He's fit and in his prime now, and hungrier than ever. Just needs to keep that temper down and not get in the way of Lance.GhostF1 wrote: ↑23 Jul 2026, 00:56
Yeah, as there is ZERO way they brought an engine that "didn't fit".
I'd take this with a grain of salt and with all due respect, I'd take most of what the Spanish media has been saying with a grain of salt. It is all extremely toxic, propped up by the idolisation of Alonso. It's usually just smack to dress down Honda because of this Alonso v Honda narrative.
I'm not sure why AMR don't have any solid backup plans to Alonso.
Yeah, that's why he's still driving for RBR or the baby bulls.ispano6 wrote: ↑24 Jul 2026, 00:22Clearly you just say that to denigrate Yuki. He was faster than Hadjar and Liam.
