You have no clue whatsoever what you're talking about. Unless you have his contract in your hand (you're the one who wants to try and use it as evidence against the discussion) then I'm afraid you can't use it to jump on the reasonable speculation that always goes on around these things.Giblet wrote:You talk about the Red Bull sponsorship of Kimi like it's a back door, with no proof. You said his contract clearly changed, which is a very grand statement to make with no evidence other than what you read in to it.
Raikkonen's thoughts on the topic:Your opinion is great and all, but where did you read, or where did you hear that Kimi's personal Red Bull sponsorship changed?
I think that's pretty clear how things have moved on. Notice he didn't say Citroen there?"Thanks to Red Bull, I have the opportunity to drive the best car of the series with the Citroen C4. This is a new but very exciting challenge."
Joining the dots is all part of the fun of racing and Formula 1, and many journalists have already done so. Go and jump on their backs. There tends to be no smoke without fire over these things, and as said, it is a perfectly reasonable set of dots to join. It's been done many times before, and been proved true on many occasions. If you don't want to believe it, fine. Go away.
Your logical reasoning is non-existent. Quite often a sponsor will smooth a driver's path into a team or a certain drive and we all kpow that it happens, but when it doesn't happen quite that way sometimes then that certainly doesn't disprove the relationship. You've got a very whacked out idea as to what you think you're proving, or not proving.Kimi was with Red Bull personal sponsorship before even going to Ferrari, maybe Red Bull was paving a path to there as well?
You quite clearly don't.I know how sponsorship works
There's ample information and history has taught us that there is no smoke without fire over these things. It's the easiest thing in the world to say "Show me something" when you're contributing sod all to a discussion yourself.Coming to a conclusion with no information is just.........bizarre. Please instead of trying to explain sponsorship, show me something tangible.
If you don't want to do some deductive reasoning, discuss things and join the dots, as any motorsport journalist does and why these forums exist, then quite frankly......sod off. You're not contributing anything to the discussion other than thinking that you have proved something (you haven't). Even more bizarrely, you might be genuinely afraid that Raikkonen getting back by this route might be a possibility, which is why you don't want to entertain it at any price. That's a borderline mental illness.
