Are intercoolers banned?

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Was that a mental breakdown?

I think you are a bit angry about formula 1 because it has left you behind in terms of what is required.

"F1 only uses supplied engines as a bolt on part. Bit like shopping at Sainsbury"

The engines don't just appear from the sky, they have to be designed and developed.

I'm not with you in regards to "developing F1 engines in the real world"?

Also another reference to computers, they only do what they are told, humans can do exactly the same but it would take a lot longer.

I'm not sure what you want to achieve, but wether working in F1 aero is a high enough achievement is a completely personal oppinion.

I'm sure none of teams want you to drive their cars either.

Perhaps, the stupidity of the modern world does this.

So what is required? Hmmmm, difficult one that.

You dont say, so how long ago did this happen?

I'm not with you in regards to "developing F1 engines in the real world"?

I know

Hmmm, no achievment there then.

I have little interest in F1 aero, it is a closed loop.

I'm sure none of teams want you to drive their cars either.

We measure engine power very very accurately every millisecond of every lap the cars are running, I assume you know how we do this?
In case someone was wondering how

New posts off-topic in this thread will be erased. Please, use PMs (and I'm not talking about Edis last post: thanks, man, interesting).

Autogyro, no matter how we admire your racing career (and there are many kinds of admiration!), you know where the posts about the history of your developments will end. Do you really need a sub-forum devoted to it?

Please, people, check the thread title and compare it with the last page of posts: try to insert the words "intercoolers" and "banned" at least in one post.

Slightly modified per Ciro's request;

Would such an intercooler be banned in F1?

Devices designed to pre-cool air before it enters the cylinders are not allowed, nor is the injection of any substance into the cylinders other than air and (petrol) fuel.
