Hey guys, being an Aussie we get pathetic coverage and i remember last season some people using a pay for proxy to watch the BBC online feed.
Can anyone help me out with some recommendations ?
Thanx
Mick
Not really. But if you want to watch the public channels, you have to pay a yearly license (per household, AFAIK). This amounts to £150.00. If I get smart and don't go to central London to watch the races, I think I can get 18x(lunch + pint of beer) for that amount of money.Giblet wrote:Forgive my lack of knowledge, but you need a license to own a TV?
I the test hard?
In most European nation states TV was introduced as a public service owned by the government. The licence is in actual fact a tax that Europeans still pay regardless of the existence of private free to air and pay TV channels. If you own a TV the tax is applicable.Giblet wrote:Forgive my lack of knowledge, but you need a license to own a TV?

Is there any country out there without a public TV broadcasting channel? I suppose that the US may well be the only one. Also, do you have to pay a TV license in your country? Ah, fine, I've just checked wikipedia. Spain is one of the few countries in Europe without a TV license, but we do have to endure long advertisment sessions.WhiteBlue wrote:In most European nation states TV was introduced as a public service owned by the government.
