Andrew Benson wrote:BBC Sport will have an extensive presence in Barcelona, with expert analysts Martin Brundle and David Coulthard, commentator Jonathan Legard, pit-lane reporters Ted Kravitz and Lee McKenzie and journalist Sarah Holt all attending.

They will all be feeding into our coverage on the BBC Sport website, which will include live text commentary on all four days and extensive end-of-day reports.

At the end of the test, on Monday next week, we will have video interviews with all the leading drivers, as well as analysis of what it all meant from Ted.

Do you know if any of this will have a video broadcast?

I don't know for sure, but reading the article I suspect the BBC will not. Beeb always piggy backs on the local broadcaster.

Most teams will shakedown their second Chassis here, if they already havnt done so at Jerez, McLaren, Ferarri, Renault and Mercedes i would asume have already done so, posibly Williams. That leaves Toro Rosso, Red Bull, Virgin, Lotus, Force India, BMW Sauber to shake down their second race going chassis. Id think that Lotus will probably not ideally shake down till Bahrain FP1.

It will probably not be on the cards, but there could be a Campos there on the last day, i think not, but its a 1500/1 rank outsider bet tho.

Most teams will probably debut many new parts, the diffuser for most will be left till Bahrain id recon.

Looks like its gonna be fine tomorrow, friday looking like the best of the running. The weekend looks a little more vauge.

Ferrari will have a new chassis for tomorrow, no. 283. Is that normal or could this mean it will integrate the new and talked-about diffuser?

Well they make more than 2 tubs a season and its probably good to shakedown your spares...they aren't redesigning the tubs...

That means that Ferarri will have a fully functioning chassis list for Bahrain. F10-281 will be the T Tub, 282 will be the one Massa uses and 283 will be given to Alonso. But its weight dependant, the heavier of the 2 drivers will have the lightest chassis for the start of the season as is Ferarri tradition. As according to Eurosport, Alonso is 68kg and Massa is 58kg.

Aren't they identical design, and hence weight?

The manufacturing/painting process is all made by hand, has so it's impossible to be the an exact process, it can vary something like 0,5kg on some cases.

Or as it did last year with Kimi moving from the 276 chassis to the 279 at Barcelona, the new tub was rumored to be as much as 8kg lighter, and as he was the heavier driver he got the lighter tub first. Massa then for 2 races got the hand me down F60 from Kimi in the 276, then he got the 277 chassis, whitch got binned at Hungary in his accedent. For the rest of the season the 276 was the T car after both drivers got their new tubs.
