no prizes for guessing who got the biggest ovation at le mans last june ; even my wife [ who has refused to go to a motor race since jim clark was killed ] came to the trackside to applaud
incidentally , I understand that he got a special dispensation to wear the same style of crash helmet as he has always used , even if it looks to be made from modern materials
