Mclarens races pace was as good as the redbulls! If vettel didn't crash he would of still needed to pit from the look of things.

Great race from JB. Champion drive!

What was with webber he was quick but he was
driving but also like abit of a nobber. But he did make it interesting.

Also gratz to hrt! First race finish!

It seems to me that the exploitation of the tyres has been somewhat equalized in Macca favour by the lower temperatures... any ideas?

That really was a silly call from Mclaren, and I sympathize with Lewis on that. Webber seems to be the next Takuma Sato IMO. He really needs to calm down!

I like Jake Humphreys sign off
"I'm sorry for getting you out of bed so early...there's just no entertainment in F1. You get back to bed"

Unlucky man of the race: Vettel
Best drive of the race: Alonso. Last to 4th.
Driver of the race: Kubica. Fairly quiet journey to 2nd place.
Best battle: Lewis vs Webber

Thoroughly enjoyed this race. Full of action and excitement. I knew F1 had it!
Lots of action through-out the pack. Especially the front, for once.
I think Red Bull are going to start to need to do things in-house.
The strategy for this year is completely different the previous ones. The sooner you're in the better, it doesn't really compute. 1 stops are better than 2 stops, although the 2 stoppers, Webber and Lewis, did seem to have lots of pace yet can't get past without some heroic moves.

Another thing to enjoy is Nico Rosberg beating Schumacher. Not sure how long it will be before Schumacher will be able to compete. Just now, he's a rookie in a fast car, like Petrov.

Well, Lewis struggled with tyre temperatures yesterday, so I don't think that was the case. I think their race pace is quite good, they still need to find some more raw pace and this track probably suited them.

That's the problem that you still can't overtake, we are due for some dull races later unless they randomly give the grid whatever Mark Webber was on!

THE BOSS is a beast!!!!!!!

Best driver of the race is Hamilton, that was made very clear today. In fact he proved today he is the best on the grid. Hamilton was the race.
A shame they pitted him, he could have passed Kubica eventually and get second place or even pip Button

Webber grrr !!!! #-o had to go and mess things up. It's like he and Hamilton are mortal enemies when it comes to on track battles.
For Sure!!

I think Webber should be at least reprimanded for slamming into Hamilton. You can definitely see that the difference between Hamilton and Webber at overtaking are quite obvious.

On a separate note, I think that RB's race pace tends to drop off in the middle of the race, happened in the first race and it started to happen again today. Best race pace is for Ferrari by far, but I think the extra fuel issue will affect them throughout the whole season for qualifying.

Webber was driving like a rookie today - I'd argue he does most days!

The Red Bull is the same old same old - fast but just can't do the distance.

Alonso hearing about hamilton on the radio made me laugh "please, i don't want to know!"

Great race! Let's not have the season opener at Bahrain anymore?

Something I saw in this race. The race pace is not flat out, F1 is an endurance race this year. Jenson had alot of speed in his pocket at certain parts of the race and was able to simply speed up when he needed to. It seems alot of drivers will be just coasting to this finish this year.

He must have passed half the grid today(the top half)... and he had Alonso shitting in his pants and locking up before Webber ran into the back of him.
And you clearly are deluded and can't look at anything without bias. Alonso was dead last after 2 turns, ran on slicks alot longer than Lewis, locked up once when he took the inside to try and defend against a car with much fresher tires, wasn't 'shitting his pants' he just asked them not to constantly tell him where Lewis was possibly because he might have wanted to concentrate without someone blabbing in his ear every 30 seconds while he was in the middle of a fight with three other cars. Lewis was whining like a bitch on the radio about his tires, which he ran the crap out of passing people which was good one him, and then bitching about a call over a pit stop that he could have told them no about. Soon after Schumacher sets fastest lap by a long way and they decide to change tires, if Lewis believed it was a bad call he could have disregarded it. He has that kind of pull in the team, especially if Button can decide to go out on slicks just after it stops raining. Bitch in the motorhome, don't cry on the racetrack, completely unprofessional and his ego showed it today. But don't let that stop you from pissing and moaning and making up your own sequence of events though. It's actually quite funny.

Then everyone who made contact with another car at some point in the race should get penalized. Don't pick and choose who gets a penalty. [-X

Lewis and Alonso are the only two real racers in Formula 1 now, all others just block like retards. Lewis was spectacular today, Alonso drove wonderfully from a huge mistake at the beginning to finish with really worn tires, Massa drove a great race and saved quite a few crossed up moves today. Just goes to show, rain is the only thing that makes Formula 1 look like an actual race. Webber made a mistake but I can see how he thought Lewis was going to make it around Alonso and misjudged it and was too far off line to stop. Stupid mistake, but understandable. I was rooting for Lewis right up until he started crying on the radio about his pit strategy. You win some you lose some, crying is for children.

Vettel is very unlucky in that turn. He has had what 4 or 3 incidents in that turn?
He was punished by the race gods, asking for a boring race, and wanting to run away from pole.
Good luck next time to Vettel and Lewis, they must feel like the team is against them this weekend.

Hehe, you gotta love vettel:

From autosport.com:

"It breaks my balls," he said. "We are all pushing and trying to do our best. It's nobody's fault, but we need to get on top of it and make sure that we see the chequered flag in Malaysia."

Vettel's season is starting to look like Kimi at McLaren. Excellent drives but no car left at the end of the race.

I dont think Lewis had his front wing changed, did he?

Which takes me to another point. Some of you have said Mclaren have a very stiff suspension, when Hamilton was overtaking Rosberg (I think) he went over the bumps on the main straight and the front wing resonated all over the place, and that prompted the Macca pit to get out a front wing which they later put aside. Goes to show the suspension issue.
