Look at how many mistakes he has made this season so far. I don't see any "rising above" etc. Sure one mistake or two is ok, but he's had mistake after mistake costing him and team valuable points.
1. Monaco
2. False Start
3. Turkey (questionable)

So we have three issues in 6 races and Alonso should go shove his head in the sand and give up? We can now talk about him being washed up and a has-been?

I bet he storms through the field and finishes 4-5 this race...ahead of his teammate.
Forget him causing the 1st lap incident with JB & MS in Austrailia?
Blowing his engine attacking JB in Malaysia?
and now cutting down Petrov's tire... he was lucky to finish 8th in Turkey

We are talking mistakes here. (per thread title)

I wouldnt call anything you just posted above as a "mistake" on his part. The bone-headed jumpstart and the crash in Monaco are mistakes.

many drivers have made mistakes in FPs and crushed. Alonso was very unlucky that sucn an innocent crush caused such big damage of the car. Otherwise, it seemed he had good changes for strong race, in not a win.

Alonso more than made up for Monaco practice error by finishing fantastic 4th starting from pits. IMO, a stunning drive. =D>
Missing Q1 in Turkey cannot be judged his error. This goof up must go his race eng. & team. He was sitting in garage out of top 10 with 3 min. left.
I can't understand why they didn't send him out earlier. :x

But he can't keep making mistakes and recovering for meager points. That loses its novelty and might annoy ferrari. They want to win, not recover points from the back.
Alonso will be an afterthought if he makes these mistakes in 2 more races. He's almost looking as washed up as shumacher.
It must hurt him to see his former mclaren teammate doing so well.
For Sure!!

The only stunning drive that gave Alonso points in Monaco was by Bert Maylander in the safety car when Hulkenburg hit the wall. He only passed 5 cars from the new teams on track... Nobody else... Hamilton's drive to 12th(from 20th) in Monaco last year was more impressive, but less lucky.

If Ferrari want be on the podium never mind win a race, they need to give their drivers a lot better car than they have thus far & bring forth some major improvements.

Schumi has a worse car than Alonso.

So well? Hammy is only 5pts ahead...and that's only because this Turkish win was served on a platter to him by Vettel.

The whole team needs to improve including both drivers in the remaining 12 races.

When i said doing so well, i mean in performance. Hamilton is pretty faultless this year in his driving. He is not to blame for any setbacks for the team.
In alonso's case the team has gave him a life line when things seem hopless after he makes his mistakes.
Dont get me wrong, he is one of the best on the grid, but he is fading away. The car is not good right now, but Massa is putting in the work and keeping his head down.
For Sure!!

the percentage line must be to get some money on him to win this years championship

So because he had a few mistakes and shitty race, he is "fading away"? Jesus christ, i'd hate to see what you people do when you have a bad week at work. Time for suicide? Give up? Kill boss? Heroine?

Wow.

Is this the right thread to say that Alonso is a manipulative cheating liar?

It is interesting to see so many mistakes from Alonso. I'm undecided on what is the reason as the season has really only just started. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep the car out of the wall at teh start of the main straight in Canada.

I'd like to humbly suggest:

Put Alonso's "errors" in one column.

In another column put his TWO WDCs.

Conclusion?

Not good enough? Then do the same thing for Massa. And put his two columns next to Alonso's. (I like Massa a lot.)

If you could have one, which would you take? (fanboys, please take your meds and do NOT reply).

All this shows that, Alonso was simply overrated
and what was the point in spending MILLIONS to get rid of Kimi(the last Ferrari WDC)

Alonso was hailed to be the next Schumy...and look he is barely beating Schumy's lapdog Massa
And all the Alonso fanboys were saying he is the best car developer F1 has ever seen....look at Ferrari now they are the slowest in developing their car

All tifosis should understand that the days like we had with the legend Schumy are one off ....no one will repeat those in the near future ... especially Alonso
