I think the BGP001 will be hooked up to a Mclaren aero tunnel and dyno quicker than you can get rid of Ferrari Blueprints.....

This is F1 Technical, not Art lover. You must be the only guy on this site that doesn't wanna spend all day in that warehouse over a massive art house.
What can I say? I'm not a McLaren fan and would rather go somewhere that I might learn something rather than look at a bunch of cars that I have spent the past 20 odd years watch go round a track every other weekend.
Ahh well, each to their own.

Why will the BGP001 be of any interest to McLaren? 2011 regs are that different to 2009 it would be pointless; and more to the point I dont think Jenson would have the car to give them for a year or so!

I dare say there are things on the chassis that Brawn considers confidential that McLaren have probably worked out for themselves and may well have superceeded since.

There is somthing they can learn from it.
Or are you suggesting Mclaren cannot learn a thing from this car?

I thought the only neat thing about the Brawn was the DDD. When they didn't develop it the others caught up. I know I'm talking out my arse but I wouldnt think Mac would learn anything major from this car. It's over a year old and any decent hardware would be removed.

Maybe they are scared that they will find the engine is actually a Mercedes V10

With fully functional nitrous overtake button and invisible laser hubs to make the competition appear to outbrake themselves, when in reality the chassis has just been sliced open!!!
Again, maybe not.... :D

Having visited the Louvre, I personally think that it is over rated ... Sure, a lot of the works are technically brilliant, but the vast majority of pieces left me bereft of any real connection with the subject matter or any message that the artist was trying to portray (though Napoleon's quarters were rather splendid).

If you want to appreciate some good art, I would recommend the Musee D'Orsay ;)

On the other hand, I would take the pits at the Goodwood Festival of Speed over either of those!

Jenson was there at BAR/Honda/Brawn for quite a while, and spent much time at the factory. I would doubt there was very little to the car that he couldn't just comment on himself, meaning I don't think you would need anything other than Jenson to get car details.

Another reason they may not want him to have the car back is because its actually a Ferrari chassis which Ross and Nigel Stephney stole some time ago.

I think that pritty much every team knows before they see a rival F1 car what it will have in it. I am sure Ferrari put people into McLaren just to spy (and via versa).

These teams travelling around the world are bound to mingle with one another, and constantly staff switching between teams I imagine its hard to keep a secret in F1 for very long.
