It is in the world of F1. The vast majority of the grid is based in England and / or sourced from England.

Even Ferrari source significant bits from England.
And for those in other parts of the UK - yes, I mean England here rather than Britain because the majority of the UK's motorsport industry is based in England. Yes, there are bits in Scotland and Wales but not much compared to England.
It does amuse me when people wander over to the UK from other countries (for work or education) and then spend their time vilifying the place. You don't like it and its ways? Bugger off somewhere else!
Its amuses me no end to hear brits talk of American stupidity, yet half cannot name the British Prime Minister.
Got a source for that stat?
Alonso is there to be vilified by the British media, he is the ying to Hamiltons yang.
The reverse is probably true in Spain...
The unfortunate thing here is that Britain has very powerful press that can influence other european news agencies. Think BBC and Rupert Murdoch, whos global influence cannot be underestimated.
That's got the beginnings of a conspiracy theory; if you play it right you could have the world believing it by Christmas...
In the end, informed fans know that its not as polarised as has been made out. Too much tripe has been spilled on this, and you can bet there are hundreds of journos sharpening their pencils ready to write more "stories", many of them tall ones.
Now on that we can all agree I'm sure. The media try to stir up issues because controversies sell.

If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
