Mercedes GP MGP W01

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Great pictures as ever Zgred.

That diffuser looks changed. Less elements.
More could have been done.

Those fins right between the lower A-arms, is that new? I haven't watched or followed the last 3 races sadly...

I almost hope its not new, so that I know their concentrating on the W02!

Well it is encouraging to see they have decided to use the rest of the year to actually learn something! This is a MUCH different layout, pretty much a Red Bull diffuser copy. I wonder what the plugs are in the lower diffuser sides are? Is that a vertical surface?

The splitter/tea tray developments are pretty interesting too.

Thanks for the great pics!

Maybe the EBD is somthing high on the agenda for the W02. testing it now in races that are meaningless with 4th pretty much secure is prudent.

Interesting, I thought they would do nothing with the car.

It MUST be W02 parts or at least testing for it.

MS was in an interview saying he thinks they can do quite well this weekend.

I wonder if they have finally cottoned on to something. It will be intersting to see if any bits are more flexible than previous races :)

According to Scarbs they are now blowing the exhaust gases to the diffuser through those slots.

interesting artice, and what is great, what can he possibly achieve more? He has won in the prototypes(Jaguar XJR-14), he won 16 titles here, he has had his own team which was the most successful ever, he made over 40 million, what can you want more? I think that if he wins the title next year he will quit, nothing more for him to achieve
