1950- Alfa Romeo wins every round of the WC (I'm not counting the Indy- It wasn't F1 in the slightest)

1952- Ferrari does the same.

There have also been cases (I know that Jim Clark did this) where one driver has got a perfect score from a season, when only the best X results were counted.

In '52, Ferrari were effectively the only F1 team in the competition though...

Technically there was no F1 at all lol- It was run to F2 rules. Still, they won every race. I win! :P

I was talking of drivers actually. Hence no "one" rather than no "team"

So, Mark Webber bite the hand that feeds him...

Post

It's first time I have seen a driver ignore his Team Boss not once, not twice, but 5 times in the same race.

In the closing stages of the British GP, Mark was repeatedly told by Christian Horner (over the radio) to not challenge Vettel for 2nd place. Mark kept silent the whole time, pushing his car more and more to cut the gap to Vettel, culminating in one final order from Christian Horner: "Mark!... MAINTAIN THE GAP! ................You sidekick!" Of course, a disheartened and shaken Mark shut off the chase - no reply.

What do you guys think? You know, ignoring your Boss, the true meaning of racing, Mark's prospects for 2012? The sheen (or opacity?) of Vettels Championship?

It's not the first time he challenges the team and he has done worse before. I can't see this changing his prospects, whichever those are.

But there must be a number of strikes before his is out? I mean, of the RedBull drivers I prefer Webber over Vettel and I would do what Mark did (I support mark in his decision) but the guy is just in a really tough place in the RBR team.

I can imagine a driver disagreeing with commands and letting it known by speaking out, but it's the first time I have seen a driver just plain ignoring the Boss.

Your a Lewis fan right?

How did you feel about Lewis being told to back off at Monaco 2007?
What if Lewis were behind Button, catching him at 1.5 seconds per lap and then was told to not overtake. How would you feel?

How would you feel if Lewis went against the team and won the race? Would you applaud the racer's heart in him? Or be angry that he did not listen?

Horner said he told Webber to back to avoid an incident between the two drivers, but surely that is upto the drivers? I mean to decide whether there will be an incident or not. If the drivers race fair nothing will happen, one will win, one will lose. If they race in a messy fashion then one, or both may not finish but that is upto the drivers.

Webber bite the hand that fed him? Really? It looked to me like Webber was doing his job! Being a racing driver.

PNSD +1

Webber bit no hand, it appears the hand infront of him holds a stick rather than any carrot.
Dont want to do the mods job for them but this thread really should plummet into the depths of obscurity where it belongs rather than question Webber, whose conduct has been beyond reproach.
He even toed company line to the press, and not through gritted teeth either.
Comendable.
More could have been done.

Well, team orders are allowed. FIA did not say you are forced to follow them.

Did Horner really call him a sidekick? If I had been ridiculed by my boss in front of a few million people, I'd leave, although admittedly my job isn't quite up there with F1 driver!

Merged from Webber bashing thread.
