His logic was right though - the Red Bull is the fastest car out there by some margin but Hamilton was able to get to and stay with Vettel. That takes some driving no matter who the guy is.andrew wrote:Yeah, but Brundle is a fool, or if you like, an on air troll. By contrast, Coulthard's point was that the RBR's race pace is not convincingly the fastest; especially when it can't use KERS or DRS, so it took some amazing driving by Vettel to keep it far enough out in front.Just_a_fan wrote:His logic was right though - the Red Bull is the fastest car out there by some margin but Hamilton was able to get to and stay with Vettel. Calling Brundle a fool just makes you look foolish to be honest; the guy knows more about the sport than anyone on this forum.
are you trolling or just undemanding?andrew wrote:What was wrong with it? Showed the racing at the front and the midfield action and I could follow the race quite easily.FrukostScones wrote:Now that's what I'm talking about!Fil wrote: Frustrating coverage today.
More than anything else, it seems that Ferrari is hampered by poor pit stops and strategy calls.jamsbong wrote:Another note about Alonso. It seems that Ferrari have not learnt their lesson from Abu Dhabi last year. Remember Ferrari childishly reaction to Webber's pitstop, it seems that Ferrari reaction to Vettel's 2nd stop (on hindsight) has been costly.
Yep, surprised he didn't do the same thing as Hamilton and stay out for a good few laps... That said, I'm surprised Hamilton didn't stay out for an extra 4/5 laps on his last set of softs... Probably would have dropped 3/4 seconds by doing it, but would have had far fresher hards... Maybe enough to get past?jamsbong wrote:Another note about Alonso. What would you have liked to see more of? I got everything I wanted to for the most part. The only time I got frustrated was in the first pit stops, where they showed the stops, even though Hamilton was overtaking on track.FrukostScones wrote:are you trolling or just undemanding?andrew wrote:What was wrong with it? Bad qualifying, puncture on first lap, but great drive from Sergio still.zeph wrote:And interestingly, Perez finished ahead of Kobayashi...
NO, I just saw nothing wrong with the coverage. For me it was one of the better race coverages.FrukostScones wrote:are you trolling or just undemanding?
And DiResta beat Sutil again – DiResta looks a shoe in for a top team soon to me. I hope it's not the Merc that everyone is talking about... Maybe replacing Webber?Byronrhys wrote:Bad qualifying, puncture on first lap, but great drive from Sergio still.zeph wrote:And interestingly, Perez finished ahead of Kobayashi...
I agree with Brundle, you with Coulthard - nice that some of us can have opposing views without going in to "abuse mode" straight away as some hereabouts are wont to.beelsebob wrote: Coulthard's point was that the RBR's race pace is not convincingly the fastest; especially when it can't use KERS or DRS, so it took some amazing driving by Vettel to keep it far enough out in front.
I tend to agree.
