Very fair indeed. If anything they have gotten off lightly, going by what Coulthard is saying.

I imagine that the others will get the same.

Webber, Hamilton, Button and Alguersuari were all investigated after the race regarding yellow flag infringements, and all were subsequently reprimanded.

blabla

PS: great race, no safe mode on last stint, fight to the finish, hard tires finally not sucking completely.

Blundell just confirmed that they had lifted but still set personal best sector times, hence the reprimand. But he couldn't really talk about it in detail.

Sounds like a bit of a silly ruling to me. Either they lifted or they didn't, overall sector times shouldn't matter what the overall sector times were as the tyres play such a big part in that. Hamilton, for example, was on lap two of his stint so the tyres were just coming on song... (if memory serves).

Hamilton is right.. the redbull has TOO MUCH DOWNFORCE!! did you guys see the speed of Vettel in the final turn? There was no way the mclaren could pass especially when the DRS zone is so far ahead. Hamilton did a good job pressuring the Almighty redbull.

Driver of the RACE goes to Hamilton!! can't give it to vettel because he has the fastest car (30 points more downforce according to hamilton) and barcelona is a Redbull track..

Im a McLaren fan as well as a Hamilton supporter but they both put up a great show today.Vettel having the fastest car is somehow half of the truth as Hamilton was flying in the slower corners. As i said a couple of pages back both cars were strong in different ways which in the end made them even, hence the finish difference.

Both of them deserve the driver of the day. =D> We need more of that racing please! [-o<

I couldn't see Alonso counter attack on Webber because Vettel stop..
And in the beginning, when DRS was about to engage, they showed 5 replays of the start, instead of focusing on the raging battles on the track...
And it was not the first time this year, this team of directors is bad!
They should use PIP (picture in picture, small window in top right) for stuff like that I think. Massa car and Kova I mean.

What it looked like was that the Red Bull was better able to drive around the outside of the corner, whereas Lewis had a better turn in and was taking the racing line.

I wonder if this is a demonstration of how good the Red Bull EBD is. By driving round the outside of the corner Vettel was using more throttle and being rewarded with much more rear down force.

McLaren faster in the slow parts... =P~ Interesting....

I wonder what tracks have an abundance of slow corners with very little in the way of high-speed...

:P

I think that McLaren have regained their slow corner, mechanical competitiveness that they had in the past; and lost a bit in 2010 due to having to spring the car so stiff. If you watched the sector times; Hamilton was kicking Vettel's arse all over in S3; sometimes taking up to 4 tenths in 1 sector. They were pretty much even in S1, then RB had an S2 advantage; then S3 was McLaren territory.

If that were the case it would have no effect on the outcome, maybe they'll penalise more?
So much for Brundles driver of the day!
I'm not sure I see that driving fast past some yellows makes your drive suddenly not a great one.
It does if you're in disagreement (with Brundle) to begin with.

Bit of a beginners mistake though.
Not sure you can call it a beginner's mistake when it's 2 world champions and one of the most experienced drivers in the field doing it, I find it much more likely that they set very fast times simply because they were all on new tyres and lower fuel. The FIA just looked at it being faster, and not at the circumstances of being faster.
They're just hotheads in fast cars with small weewees (watch southpark last episode ^.^)

Yes, Macca low speed cornering has improved, but in order to Pass today they needed to be fast in that particular high speed corner. Vettel and Webber could DRS through that corner in qualifying!

On the KERS, I notice there was a time when Vettel could only use 15% of his KERS, for sake of keeping the batteries cool. Still it didn't matter, because you only use KERS on the Barcelona main staight. I am greatly looking foward to Mclaren outdeveloping RBR for the coming races, because if they don't you can call this championship over!

speed tv coverage seems very good nowadays.
