Button doesn't have the same chance. Opportunity is different from chance.wesley123 wrote:No Withmarsh is reasonable, Button has the same chance of winning the Championship as Hamilton has. And to add to it, P2, where Hamilton starts, is on the left side of the grid, the clean side of the track.
Button has not signed for a contract to be the second driver, and he wil not drive for that. If Button is 1 and Hamilton is 2 they are allowed to race for the first place, like it should.
Look at how close Alonso got to winning the WDC last year. All due to the fact that Ferrari put everything behind him, even though Massa wasn't far away in points when the decision was made.wesley123 wrote:No Withmarsh is reasonable, Button has the same chance of winning the Championship as Hamilton has. Are you even serious?internetf1fan wrote: Look at how close Alonso got to winning the WDC last year. All due to the fact that Ferrari put everything behind him, even though Massa wasn't far away in points when the decision was made.
Dennis didnt back anyone, Heikki never really got close to Hamiltons pace so he was never a threat.Look at 2008 when Ron backed Hamilton. He returned the favour with McLaren's first championship in years.
I think you can answer the question yourself, he had let the 2 race each other in China this year, Canada this year, and Turkey last year. If you want to win the title, just do it fair or just dont do it at all. What will happen in the race tmr if Vettel is leading, Button can't keep up and is holding Hamilton up. Will MW really be stupid enough to let Button race Hamilton, risking a contact/letting Vettel romp away in the distance? Will he be silly enough to waste a chance of a win?
There is nothing wrong with team orders. I doubt Kimi fans care about team orders which won him the championship. It's a team sport after all.wesley123 wrote:

And not, Massa was quite close in points to Alonso when they had the team orders, closer than Button is to Hamilton at the moment.wesley123 wrote: 2. Massa was way slower than Alonso and also way further behind.
