One thing I don't get. In the wet, in quali, are you allowed to deploy DRS? In the drier parts of Q1/2 they didn't; so I'm confused if that was just a driver confidence thing, or if it's in the regs. Anyone?

Ray – you're allowed to deploy DRS iff you are on slick tyres.

I don't think that's the case; In Hungary and in Great Britain the DRS was enabled BEFORE people switched to slicks.

after the line, what are they doing???
Of Vettel....for sure..... 8) he's been looking for the best line the whole weekend. He reckons in the last Q sessions his car was getting quicker and quicker and he became more and more comfortable....great set up for the race....four tenths quicker is phenomenal....

What the he'll was Maldo thinking btw??? No error on LH side for sure....

Remind me, what part of Hamilton driving in a straight line, cruising down the road is worthy of "a slap on the wrist", "an ego check" or "a penalty"?
if he is driving strait why are his wheels turn since hes in a corner. OMG someone hit my favorite driver ban them from racing. your --- gets old mate.
I'm the one who called for Maldonado's license to be revoked and I'm no Hamilton fan, believe me. Maldonado was the one overtaking, the session was over and MAldonado was under no compunction to start on that set of tyres : there was no reason for him to be anywhere near that close to Hamilton or the racing line, full stop.

Sometimes the dislike of Hamilton can have exactly the same effect on post quality as fanboyism, so I think people should stop trying to justify what was a reckless and outright dangerous manoeuvre.

I bet FOM is deliberately not showing the onboard footage from the Williams to get people to keep talking about it. If they show the onboard from the Williams it should be very clear it was Maldonado's fault.

Wow! Senna has been most impressive... Not just ahead of Petrov but ahead of Alonso.
Heidfeld should feel very bad now.

I like Hamilton most of his fans however....

Like I said both drivers need an ego check but not there license pulled.

I think the important thing is that on entry Lewis was clean (not in contact). Maldo then either had to turn in later; or he would have had contact.

And this is from someone critical of his Canada/Monaco travails

You're claiming that Hamilton overtaking cleanly, on his fast lap should warrant a penalty?

Predictions are for dry but cloudy day tomorrow but I certainly wouldn't bet on it not raining. Perhaps the race will come down to tyres again....

Ah, ok. Thx
this is not a written rule just a guess by me they tend to do it when a popular driver doesn't make the 107%
