He's struggling with car setup at the moment and I think he might want to get the extra front grip to give him the confidence for that 1 track in particular...
comparison shot just for the heck of it.

Well spotted, I had wondered what was wrong with their wings to bring both cars in!

Not the flexing – the cascade has snapped.

im not quite shure about that. we have to look one of the onboard laps from vettel or webber's car.

Vettel's car may have been damaged by debris from Schumacher's collision with Senna. The on-board replay saw Vettel hitting debris head on. I don't know what could have caused damage on Webber's car though.

Looks to me like the entire end plate has collapsed and fallen in to the side. I don't remember it having that huge kink in it.

Yes this is correct. Carbon hit the front wing and it got smashed.

No flexing in that picture. Atleast of the collapsed part.

One thing that I missed in this image was the duct they use for the extra cooling (and no doubt a bit of aero benefit) which exits at the beginning of the sidepods. I first found a shot of it in 2010 but never could find it again. It's out of focus here but you get the idea.

Both cars had their wings replaced, it could be a structural fault, the left side of Vettels wing looks very weedy, very thin support in the middle.
Became a McLaren fan in the late 70's when I ended up laminating their Kevlar nosecones.

What has all that to do with McLaren? Vettel stated that he damaged the wing on debris from Schumachers incident. End off!

Can you provide a little more detail about the duct's location, I do not see it.

Clearly different philosophies of how to utilise the front wings...
Just realised the lines are hard to see, but they are there!

thats a terrible comparison, and not only that but vettels front wing is clearly broken here.

Black carbon at the top of the rad on the far left. Here's an image without it: http://www.formula1.com/wi/sutton/2012/d12esp314.jpg
