Yeh, those damn pirellis... who's qualities are inspired by the fact that they made one of the most exciting races in Montreal we've ever seen... They're really likely to ruin a race in Montreal. >.< =D> #-o

This years are worse for deg than last years though, the drivers don't race any more, they just preserve tyres. I think monaco proved this that it seemed like hardly any of the drivers were hammering it, they were all just driving within the limits of the tyres. I think it's sad, pirelli have went too far in the direction of high deg.

Yes, and the properties of said bridgestones in Canada that year was what inspired how to design the Pirellis...

Thank you for the great race edits, Red! I missed everything from Mid may to mid August so it's nice to finally recap that. The victory by Button was fantastic, epically pressuring Vettel into a mistake.

As I said in the Monaco GP thread this is not correct. They all had tires to go for more pit stops and push harder in between if they so wished, and the overall race duration was very comparable to previous years as far back as 2006, so they weren't really cruising either. Check the post race press conference as well if you wish, they were in fact caught out by how durable the super soft Pirellis were in Monaco!

I'm pretty sure rain had something to do with it, too.

Was it last year that Button won in the rain?

EDIT: Yep. Don't mind me.
