This was mentioned a couple of times just on last page.mozza_84 wrote:Just read that hamilton has stated in such words that this years cars is fundamently flawed and in need of a redisign because all other cars i.e redbull and others have boxers noses and they dont which means that there aint no new chassis for germany and very unlikely we will see it this year. One hell of a disapointing year this is gonna be.
I understand what you mean, he can say the car is rubbish because there's a new one coming soon, but who knows? Wishful thinking perhaps?Holm86 wrote:This was mentioned a couple of times just on last page.mozza_84 wrote:Just read that hamilton has stated in such words that this years cars is fundamently flawed and in need of a redisign because all other cars i.e redbull and others have boxers noses and they dont which means that there aint no new chassis for germany and very unlikely we will see it this year. But that dosnt mean that there wont be a new chassis in Germany. You cant read anything into what Lewis is saying. Otherwise you could also say that Lewis dares to say something like that because he know that there will be a renewed car for next race.
Well they can't deny it. The biggest issue for me is how they thought this track would suit there car...CjC wrote:

I heard paddy Lowe on sky basically accepting the car/development isn't good enough which is good to hear, least they aren't burying their heads in the sand and saying it circumstantial that the had a poor weekend. The first step on the road to recovery is acceptance
no he didn't Paddy Love said after race that such a thing like wet set-up doesnt exist in modern F1!Shakeman wrote:Lewis had a full wet setup.
That i would belive. Including the tunnels.Nando wrote:Maybe we´ll see a RBR-type exhaust.
Shakeman wrote:RB and Ferrari both spent a considerable amount of development on their rear end. None of this can be cheap especially RB who have been bringing a new and significant variations on their tunnel design to every recent race. Not to mention different solutions on each car during practice sessions.
Is the RRA having an impact on Mclaren's development relative to other teams?
It was probably a combo of limited running on the new parts and the softer setup for cold/wet weather in my eyes, it would have been very easy just to miss the operating window for the tyres even though the drivers got the balance how they wanted it.SiLo wrote:Even though the car looked slow, it's still difficult to read anything into it because of the massive amount of limited dry running they had. But still, the car needs some upgrades and fast. If i were Mclaren I would be rushing them out and just sticking them on the car, it's the fastest way to find out if they work or not!
