Its understood to be a revised exhaust solution and it probably will be, so lets stop talking crap about the chassis. Im kinda glad its to do with rear bodywork/downforce because like i said before its the lack of rear grip thats not letting us keep up with the leaders and a lack of rear grip thats 'eating' the rear tyres
Yes and how do you gain rear grip,,,, Downforce at the rear, how do you gain that?,,,, more air to the rear of the car, how do you do that?,,,, high nose/ chassis change, the car all acts as one, so to gain more rear downforce you need more air to the rear of the car, which is why the nose is so important for rear downforce...
But how much higher is the nose on the raised chassis cars? Not that much.
My thoughts exactly, it can only be 50mm at the most, but saying that, F1 is about the smallest margins and 2 inch is a rather large margin.
Also to N12ck you are right, it all starts from the front, but mclaren cant change their front really, its too drastic of a change, just leave the chassis and improve the rear, like i said before, get a damn vented diffuser on the car like the best car on the grid has. Red Bull.
Also like i asked about 4 posts ago, isnt there a holmigated chassis rule? If so, why waste time developing a new chassis for mid-season and why waste our time talking about one if they cant bring it due to rules. There might be a way around the rule but that'd result in another ballsed up compromise.
