Now they are taking back their original place on the grid. Maybe in Brasil we will hope Caterham drivers won't overtake Michael.
arent next years cars evolutions of this years car?mep wrote:It is actually interesting how they drop compared to the other teams at this stage of the season. The teams which are overtaking them now focus already on next year’s car.

If Mercedes did not have DDRS they wouldnt have made Q3 in any of the last few races.
They are about 1.2-1.3s off the pace in Qualy & around 1.7-1.7 off the pace in the race. Same recurring Story.
The Coanda has been a Total Failure. Not only has it added little Downforce but also has added drag taking away Mercedes' Superior Top Speed. Shame really.
I wonder what would happen if Mercedes did not have MERCEDES ENGINE,GEARBOX,KERS,DDRS & all that money & resources. Even Marussia is within 2s off them with little resources,no KERS,that crap Cosworth engine,no fancy DDRS & so on.
The engineers & Management at Mercedes are just wasting resources. They won World Class Resources??? We dont have 900 people like Red Bull or 60% Wind Tunnel. Well neither do Toro Rosso or Force India who dont have 50% of your resources and cant even pay Good Salaries to their staff or driver. The Mercedes guys and Brawn the con wants World Class Infrastructure but will still give Pathetic Results.
How on earth is the Mercedes board still tolerating Brawn??
Michael Schumacher: "There are some races where nothing comes together and which you simply have to move on from straight away. This was one of them. We didn't manage to get the tyres working properly over the race distance, which made for inconsistent lap times, and accounted for our step back in performance. So we will write this one off, look forward and hope that we will be able to get back on the front foot again in the upcoming races."
Nico Rosberg: "Unfortunately this has been the second poor weekend in a row for me, and it's very frustrating to be taken out twice in the first corners of the race. Kobayashi hit me from behind today and that was my race over. The one small positive to be taken from the weekend is our qualifying performance which was a small step forward. Now I'll look forward to India and hope for a bit more luck there."

KERS
renault/ferrari/merc engine and gearbox
they would be faster than mercedes and probably kinder on their tyres
