Dry but rain is becoming more likely, percentages of chance are increasing, they're in the middle of a tropical storm to be fair or rather on the edge.

How exactly? He got beat by vettel when the track was at it best for both drivers. By your logic, everyone could be on pole.

2011 all over again? :P

Ofcourse even with a red flag, the race can't go on for more than 4 hours..

Wet or dry, I hate redflagged races. I'm hoping for a good clean race, with little attrition.

If it's consistently half-wet like this tomorrow, i look forward to seeing a) how Bottas goes and b) who took the most out of their inters today. I will have to check later on, but i would be surprised if anyone had a new set left...

Red flags are truly joy-killers. I too pray for a clean race. I care not who wins it as long as it is exciting.

Messy qualifying, Red Bulls favourites, Bottas - a bit freaky but good to see, I was always on a bandwagon, Bottas train in probably a dry race.

Yeah I can see Hamilton and Vettel getting away for the first few laps until DRS, although that probably means Vettel's got this one in the bag, but Id love to see a battle between them like last year.

Both Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo were given two-place penalties for not lining up in the designated 'fast lane' at the pit exit in the rush to get out after the Q2 red flag.

Raikkonen loses just one place because his penalty was applied before Ricciardo's. He will start from 10th, with the Australian in 11th.

The race stewards punished Raikkonen and Ricciardo because they had gained positions by electing to start from the left side of the pit exit.

Raikkonen left the pits in second place, having arrived there as the fourth car. Ricciardo left the pits in fourth place, having arrived in sixth.

The stewards did not punish Raikkonen for his Q3 infringement as they felt he had been 'unduly delayed' by the slow starting Mark Webber.

Sergio Perez, Jean-Eric Vergne and Pastor Maldonado were also investigated for the same offence as Ricciardo and Raikkonen, but the stewards decided they did not merit a punishment.

The other penalty also affects a Lotus, with Romain Grosjean carrying the 10-place drop earned for crashing into Ricciardo in Monaco.

He had only qualified 19th anyway so will fall to last.

Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton start from the front row, while Valtteri Bottas made the most of the wet conditions to take an incredible third for Williams.
So KR starts 10th and DR 11th.

Hamilton was 6-7 tenths up then messed up the final chicane. He said so himself.

He wasn't 7 tenths up, he was 2 tenths up.

Vettel was also green in S1 and purple in S2 in his final run but ended up 6 tenths slower than his pole lap. With the track conditions in S3, Lewis missing the final chicane was pretty much irrelevant...

Hopefully Vettel gets pipped in this race (in order to keep the championship alive especially when Raikkonen is starting 10th).
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.
