Schnoozefest.

Another Vettel homerun. Good for him, well deserved, but I sure hope this result is not indicative of how the rest of the season is gonna turn out.

if i am correct, he ignored the blue flags 3x. At that point they automatically have to give him a penalty.

Same with van de garde; he ignored the flags also 3x, and ran into Mark Webber. The stop 'n go was fully justified.
It actually looked to me that, considering the fact that Hamilton was not that close to Sutil, he was staying behind to catch the DRS and defend from Alonso.
With Giedo was the right call, unfortunately he got lost a little bit today.
Hamilton might have started going down that path around halfway the lap, but certainly the intend was not spending a whole lap behind Sutil. Regardless of that, Sutil should have atleast slowed down when coming to the 3th blue flag. He made no attempt at all to let Hamilton through, and he was driving all by himself. Sutil really had nothing to loose with slowing significantly down.

Alonso would have gotten Hamilton eventually. Sutil only made it happen sooner.

No, Hamilton fended Alonso off that time. Alonso got him the next lap, with the 2nd DRS zone

Anyone else catch the possible Alonso pass under yellow during the race? Not sure if it was another telemetry screw up, but interesting just the same:

I see red and yellow lights, and steward with blue flag. Not interesting IMO.

I actually felt bad for vettel up on the podium. The audio picked up a lot of the crowd booing. It clearly bothered him.

Yes, it was yellow but he was not overtaking. He was lapping a backmarker under the blue flag.

Pathethic stuff on the fans behalf. But what can you do. It's canada after all. All ferrari there, much like monza.

Really sad indeed. They should be booing all other drivers for failing to challenge Vettel and allowing him to run away with it.

Was it just me or did anyone else think there was an ever so slight contact between Lewis and Alonso during the overtake?

Shame on those booing "fans". But I'm sure Vettel couldn't care less; he's a triple champion no matter what those "fans" think.

If I recall correctly, it doesn't matter if you're lapping a car or not... you can't pass under yellow flag conditions because you need to show that you've slowed to obey the yellow flag, not accelerate past another car after slipstreaming them. You can't have a race speed sector in a sector with yellow flags.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

It looked that way to me. The NBC commentators caught that, too, and feared a rear-tire puncture for Alonso.

Sutil blocked Hamilton, very strange move and he deserved the penalty. Shame Hamilton lost P2, but he gave everything.
