New engine F1 and fuel saving is 10 times worse when it comes to not pushing 100% and driver's involvement than tyres ever were. It just equalises everything down to fuel flow/power of particular engine, you don't know who's really good and who's not. Look at trains they just drive at their delta speeds not caring about anything else. With tyres there was variaty and drivers skills (pacing technique, control when sub-optimal. I'm surprised it's not sold as greatest tragedy...

- Williams missing Maldonado already. Bottas had great pace but looked shaky
- Two retirements - this is really apocalypse
- Merc advantage - incredible but expected
- Judging from his interview Red Bull should deny in advance that Vettel threw a hissy fit (no mercy sorry Vettel fans  ).

Turns out the car really is important, eh? ;)
This forum would be so much nicer if discussions were based on things actually said, not imagined ;)
Nah. As a technical forum, I think it's probably more important for folks to understand the correlation between speed and engineering.

Yeah, I started second guessing myself like "what did I miss about the new engines??" bravo boys... direct injection, no spark.
Actually Ted corrected himself later on, they do indeed have spark plugs, until they go to diesel to be even more green.

If Kevin manages to finish in 3rd place, at 21 year and 163 days he will be the second youngest podium finisher in history, splitting Vettel (21 years, 73 days) and Alonso (21 years, 237 days).

Gutted for Hamilton. Appalled by the Ferrari's aenemic performance. But it is fun to see Ricciardo and Magnussen stick it to their champion teammates :-)

Am I the only one who feels sorry for Massa? Torpedoed out of the race in turn 1 like that :-(

He seemed really inspired starting the new season in a competitive Williams. Really do feel sorry for him.

Strange comment about Vettel there! I heard them interview him post retirement and he sounded pretty pragmatic about everything and even hoped that Daniel finished the race. Maybe there was another interview?
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

Yeah but you expect him to stick it, at least some of the time, the others are a rookie and a new guy against the four time world champion.

Do not entirely agree with that. And we already some them going head to head last year.

Nico and Daniel are doing a great job, but even I could stick it to cars that don't work.
Kevin really is doing the definition of "sticking it to" though.
