I thought that that these penalties would not apply when Teams could prove change was necessary due to accident related damage.

Would make sense. After all the rules are there to encourage manufactureres to make durable components, not to make them crash proof.

So stupid KERS button is now part of nostalgia? Yes it was especially brilliant when some cars had it some didn't, how not very pure racing of you . No issues with artificiality aspect or with differences between engines? KERS button was a minor element, later with DRS over-complicated and now redundant. Imagine KERS, f-duct and DRS at the same time - pushing knee/hand against the hole, DRS pedal and KERS button :).

I thought It was pre-DRS overtaking tool but since both cars in a perfect world would have it was only a matter of timing and managing it - still artificial. Wasn't it easier to implant recovery system in regular V8 with a boost button or was it only overtaking or visibility aspect? "Look we have KERS you take energy from braking - push the button - voila - recovered energy is good, makes you go faster and lets you overtake, exciting, buy it!" "Oh some of you don't have it and can't overtake with a faster car, like FI-Ferrari? Let's not get into that."

Can Hamilton be second? Before Williams cars there's no competition but I'd say at least one of them should finish in front.

Hey folks, anyone knows what happened to that russian timing site that showed positions on track etc? The link I had to it is now dead.

Why didn't lewis just start from the pit lane with a pure race setup would there not be an advantage because of the gearboxes rules this year

If it's the same for everyone then it's not a gimmick.

Stupid brundle saying it's no one's fault. It was 100% magnussen's fault. Simply understeering into massa.

Its Massas fault! There was no space for him to take the corner like that! Where was Kevin supposed to go?

Racing incident. No need to apportion blame.

What else is new? Brundle is shameless in pampering preferred drivers: here it's Dennis' favourite project but also Raikkonen, local ones etc.. Opposite side is pathological dislike for others.

There's no fault big enough- he said Raikkonen's dive in Monaco was perfectly normal and unfortunate
Edit: when they were investigating Button in Monaco he kept saying it was Perez's fault even though there's no way they would investigate the blame of a driver out of the race - they'd do that after the race.
