Hmm..whatever layout poppet valves are not quite up to the performance of nyctinastic valves if you ask me. And if anyone asks - no, it has nothing to do the with what time of day it is....

& P.Z. - can you post a pic of the Klaatu barada nictu valves you mention?
A cogent few wet flow coefficient data point comparisons too, perhaps?
