Multi-valve technology

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

You should remove that picture, it might be considered porn and have this site shut down :D

Or here's an idea to market as "F1 Art"..

Coat the head gasket face with paint, put more paint in the ports, lay it while wet on a canvas ( or fresco, paper & etc),
then give the valves a sharp tap with a hammer, & remove.. ..to reveal the flow pattern spray in all its glory..

Remember guys - you read it here first, (for intellectual property royalty purposes).. ..L.O.L...

Do you have a picture of the cams used with that cylinder head?

..you surely cannot..
.. actually believe..
..that..
..such an image..
..has any material reality..

Yes J.A.W., I grasped the fact that the cylinder head image was Photoshop'd. And I hope you grasped that my question about the camshaft was also asked in jest.

Frankly, I was hoping some clever person would put together a composite image of a twisted/convoluted/forked camshaft that somehow mated up with all four of the different valve arrangements.

Cheers.

Yeah, right.. r-r, of course you were..

Actually, I'd reckon Honda might take on that task as one of their wacky engineering competitions..
( 8 valve oval piston anyone?)

& having worked on a few of their wacky production rocker set-ups, I reckon it'd be right up their alley too..

Dual underhead cams with pushrods. One either side of the block.

Just like an old Riley, or Triumph Speedtwin..

Although Honda have made a few pushrod mills too, including their then super-tech turbo CX 500, back in the `80s..

I ran a competition SOHC 4-valve per cyl Yoshimura-cammed Honda that habitually broke rockers under the strain..

Whoever created that photoshop image actually put a bit of thought into it. All of the intake and exhaust valves are located on the correct side of the cylinders.

Fairly bloody self evident, really, r-r, aint it?

Not that every deep breathing poppet valve head has to be - per se - cross-flow..
