Are those the Titanium strips (attached to plank on ref plane) that will fit under the car?

2013 aero rules featured blown diffusers and high noses, 2014 did not.PlatinumZealot wrote:At least the peak downforce numbers were high. The engine and its knock on effects were their biggest problems.
I have a feeling the E23 is going to be fighting for podiums the first time out. The car was just too good in 2013 with these aero rules.
Looks like some sort of aluminum-heavy(over 6%) titanium alloy but that would most likely mean it was already fully machined and shaped.Mamba wrote:Are those the Titanium strips (attached to plank on ref plane) that will fit under the car?

looks like the monocoque seen from the back (part where the fuel cell sits)... top part goes to roll hoop..kwanchepan wrote:Seems E23 chassis already pass FIA crash test. Good news

Back from passing its @FIA chassis homologation tests, our #E23 is coming together very nicely… #sneakpeek
I guess what you mean is (maybe) because of this:gibells wrote:The side of the cell seems really wide. Ducts or spars for a wing?
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/ ... 16713.htmlThe Zylon anti-intrusion panels on both sides of the survival cell have been extended upwards to the rim of the cockpit and alongside the pilot’s head.
It's normally that wide. Usually for fuel tankn shape optimization. You may not notice it when the car is finished if they decide to place covers over it, or even the paintjob disguising where the cell ends and the sidepods start.gibells wrote:The side of the cell seems really wide. Could be radiator end tank shells.Mamba wrote:Are those the Titanium strips (attached to plank on ref plane) that will fit under the car?
