Lotus E23 Mercedes Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Nose looks similar to 2010 r30

If anybody could tell us what is going on with the car that would be great

What did you expect when the rear wing shows Venezuela :P?

We'll switch to an official topic once the car is effectively being shown on track

The E23 finally arrived in the garage

Compared to their trouble last year i wouldn't be too worried ;)

They did much effort to get it there promptly, and sure have their reasons for it. I'm actually expecting the Lotus to do remarkably well. So let's wait and see.

What's on the front rim?
Also, is that a blown nut?

I guess that is some protection for the transport. And yes that could be a blown wheel nut.

To me, it looks like the tip of the nose is slightly longer than the rendered version. Note the black area in front of the golden border around the lotus logo.

Could mean that the lotus nose might shorten until Melbourne (as suspected for the noses of Ferrari and McLaren)
