Lotus E23 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I actually think that he/she is right rather there being some weirdness going on. It actually looks a lot like one of their old ones from the pre season testing so quite possibly they are doing evaluation.
Unless all the various heat exchangers (radiator, engine oil cooler, ERS coolers etc etc) are exactly the same and split halfway and mirrored on each side then there will be a different transfer of heat from side to side making the air coming our of the back different temps. Therefore it would be useless to do this to compare temps with that idea.

Apparently from what has been out there, Lotus will bring a slightly wider nose to Spain.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Off topic joke, but...

If they finish ahead of the Toro Rosso's, they could change it to "u Mad, Max?"

That'll cool the PU  . Too much pressure underneath the bodywork?

Yup! It is activated via DRS

You mean Debris-Rear-Scattering?

It really looks like too much pressure built underneath the engine hood and at a point just ripped it to shreds. I know you are joking, but the DRS could actually have played a part there, decreasing pressure on top of the hood.

Say, the RW support pylon attached to the exhaust, isn't that the same solution as the one Toro Rosso uses?
