Hm that's wierd. I thought that I saw front right tire bouncing which would lead to broken suspension or tire failureRZS10 wrote:I won't participate in the discussion of the Lewis vs Nico incident ... just some info:
Perez did not have a broken suspension and did not run over Rosberg's debris ... according to Hulk he just ran out of brakes, that's why Hulk retired earlier on as well.
Outer edge? There was still plenty of space and after that the run off area. In any case there was no need to turn in like there was no car between him and the racing line. He may not like to give Nico the space he would have needed, but that's racing.wesley123 wrote: He saw Rosberg coming, which is why he waited to turn in until he was at the outer edge of the corner
Did he have brand new Soft tyres or brand new Supersoft tyres? If he had new Softs, fair enough, those would have been better.Phil wrote:So that is why Hamilton was on USED softs in the end?Fulcrum wrote: To all the people in this thread commenting about tyres - check the tyre allocation. Rosberg had an extra set of Supersoft tyres, Hamilton an extra set of Softs. You use what you have left.
Seriously? How long did he need to wait until he could turn in, until he was in America?Alguck wrote:Outer edge? There was still plenty of space and after that the run off area. It was on Sky that apparently there isn't actually a rule against it.SchuMassa wrote:Good spot! agree 100% , he could have become Mercedes hero today for making the right choice, accepting 2nd (in light of his brake problems), bringing nice 1-2 home, but he opted to do it the usual, Rosberg, wayShrieker wrote:Rosberg knew he was going to get overtaken with the problems he was having, and threw everything and the kitchen sink at Hamilton to keep his position. What's the alternative? “I've waited long enough, I will turn in now, no matter who's next to me.”wesley123 wrote:Seriously? Being English is enough of an excuse to be a completely biased imbecile according to some members of this forum.Juzh wrote:Ted Kravitz is disgusting as foock with all this hamilton worshipping.
once you have half a car along side you have to make leave space for the other car, andAlguck wrote:Difficult to catch just using Youtube now but this is pretty much where Lewis decided to turn in:F1NAC wrote:Well if rosberg was infront that would be very similar, but here Hamilton was the guy in front.Alguck wrote:Definitely, ROS made a mistake there (but having braking troubles), but HAM moved in strangely aggressively when it was clear already that ROS was not going to hit the apex.
Almost looks like he's going for Nico's frontwing, very dodgy move. Seems like he succeeded. Pulling a Jerez 97 there?

He's not in front and he should see Nico coming.
The Austrian track side announcers said it was Lewis' fault. Thats why he got all the booing. That biased enough for you?Fulcrum wrote:Being English is enough of an excuse to be a completely biased imbecile according to some members of this forum.Juzh wrote:Ted Kravitz is disgusting as foock with all this hamilton worshipping.
They gave Hamilton used softs (7 laps old I think) and Nico's were brand new (or at worst 1 lap) super softs.Fulcrum wrote:Did he have brand new Soft tyres or brand new Supersoft tyres? If he had new Softs, fair enough, those would have been better.
If he had new Supersofts, would he have had a chance to pass Rosberg? My guess is no.
