Thanks JAF,

Well, if the Stewards have the stones to impose a pen, then it would could likely be viewed as a British driver getting a helping hand in the championship over his WDC leading team mate.
Feels wrong, especially when the Radio rules were instilled to stop "excessive driver coaching", it's gradually descended to farce.

Actually impressed with the coverage on C4, prefer it to the BBC & ITV's efforts.

Why did Seb get a penalty ? Only instance I can remember him with a Williams was when he passed and kinda closed the door on exit, usually like Hamilton does....

He actually did a Rosberg and went straight on through a corner, blocking a Williams from turning in.

It probably wont be a big penalty. He'll lose maximum a place is my guess.

Which isnt that bad. The team saved him that place by telling him what to do anyway.

Or a reprimand.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

How long before the tin foil hats come out and say that Mercedes giving Rosberg the coaching was to ruin his race as punishment for Austria?

Cant reprimand a driver for a pit wall contravention though. It wll have to be a driver penalty.

Clearly this was not the case.

The penalty Rosberg may or may not be hit with was regarding his radio message. The penalty had nothing to do with Rosbergs gearbox or any oil or Debris.
Red Bull's radio message was to my mind, far more impacting on the drivers driving than Mercedes.

They in effect told Verstappen not to race, because Rosberg would be getting a penalty. That's telling a driver how to drive, with no message given to him about the car in front having any reliability problem.....

Rosberg is confident that there will be no penalty.

So, once again it was wet and once again Rosberg froze. While Lewis disappeared in distance, Nico was caught and passed by Max. I wish it would have been wet the whole race. It was a shame.

By next year, when I again ridicule Nico for him being hydrophobic, iotar will come back and tell us, how Nico was fast in the 3/4th of the second sector in one lap and how he was faster on the first half of the first sector on a few laps laterAND how he WAS ALMOST QUICKER for a full sector.

Hamilton looked like a bit of a tool saying there was not much booing immediately before Rosberg was booed heavily for the second time.

Not a terrible race but tyre management was the key here. I don't think Rosberg will be penalised for the messages as it looked pretty critical, but I don't know how it'll be interpreted.
I thought Lewis was in a way asking the crowd not to boo, as he knew the mic was going to Nico next.
- "Shame about the boos, though I suppose they were inevitable after Austria" Your logic is broken. How was booing inevitable and what's the connection between Austria and this rubbish behaviour?
- They weren't booing boring race were they? Same type of people that write here.
If you stop watching and come back later, I guess you nirmally miss half the things you regularly argue about.
I didn't miss anything, that's the point #-o .

He was quite confident last lap of Austria was Lewis' fault. Stewards disagreed.

Anything any Merc staff says about it till the decision is pure PR. Obviously. Its their job.

Nico is on thin ice here, because he said "what does that mean, I have to shift through it" and then the team said yes you need to shift through it.
