Toro Rosso STR12 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is that a light under the car? Watching FP2 and there's something shining onto the ground from under the nose.

Based on the above photos from different GP's. The exhaust setup is different, well something has changed. Renault bringing a PU update at all to Sochi?

I suggest that the difference is a blanking plug. The regs disallow fins etc. in the last 100mm of the pipes.

Renault tested new MGU-K in Bahrain, but I didn't find if it was succesfull or not...maybe it was so all three teams will use it in Sochi.

Of course, it doesn't have to be related to new exhaust, but worth mentioning.
