Kimi was stuck behind FI and couldn't pass like Vettel couldn't on his SS tyres, then he put the US and he was flying.
Then he had the...brake issues.

If he was flying I don't know what Vettel was doing, Vettel caught him despite having many laps older SS tires. I also think Kimi was poor today

He had good pace with the US, he was losing about 3 tenths to Vettel with older tyres and the German on crazy mode on.

Disagree. He had a mediocre start which put him into trouble in the first place. He did a good recovery, but dotd ? I think not.

-Hamilton's certainly on fire today.Excellent start, unbelievable pace especially on US.I hope that we don't see another Monaco from now on.

-Red Bull should be ecstatic about picking up a podium here but they were extremely lucky (Massa off, Force India having their internal battles).And that is the fourth mechanical failure for RBR this year, two for each driver.Really shame, that VES can't capitalise on his state of the art starts.

-Vettel was excellent today.Just one mistake while driving on the edge the whole time.
Surely though it would be expected.The gap between the two teams in the front and everyone else is MASSIVE and this is a track that you can overtake easily.

-Really disappointing FI, or to be precise, Perez. I don't know what he was thinking there, and I believe with all this talk about him leaving, this would take him a step closer to the exit door.But that was bad team playing.Could that have an impact on his chances with Ferrari?They surely didn't like it, even though he helped Vettel in the end.

-So happy about Stroll, I hope he will be more confident from now on.

-I'm sick with this, McL-Honda. Nice to see Alonso climbing towards the grandstand, the guy is populous and a legend of F1. It hurts me seeing him like that, leave now!!

the way i saw it Vettel could not turn in because of Bottas, Verstappen turned in expecting Vettel to turn (no way for him to see Bottas) and Vettel ended up being in a bad place ... in this case Verstappen did nothing wrong

as for dotd ...
Hamilton had pole, fastest lap (on slower and older tyres) and an easy win - ofc it wasn't as 'spectacular' as passing way slower cars with DRS but still a perfect drive
Ricciardo managed to keep the FIs behind for the entire race being on the slower tyre so he did a great job as well
Vettel had a poor-ish start and got caught up in the first corner, he also made mistakes (where the now paved runoff saved his ass) - he potentially might have gone for podium without
Grosjean also had a good recovery after the Sainz incident

a couple of guys to chose from ... hell ... Alonso was probably near the optimum as well and going into the crowd has to be worth something

It shows how far ahead of the rest the Ferrari and Mercedes are, that's what it shows. The Mercedes were untroubled and obviously not running flat out (other than the odd fastest lap to break the boredom) and still finished miles ahead.

If it had been Hamilton in that position, people would be shouting how rubbish he is at starts to have lost places like that.

If they are not in points-> retire the car in the name of engine failure.

Plus very unethical behavior from Perez, he blocked his team mate 3-4 times and then allowed Vettel to pass, SFI lost some 4-5 points. That is even worst than Hamilton in Abu Dhabi 2016.

This incident will go into register of every team looking for Checo next season. Especially Ferrari, they do not like driver who drive for personal gains.

That driver of the race trophy at the end of the year is going to look spectacular on Vettel's mantelpiece. Worth at least two WDC trophies for sure.

Sorry I was concentrating at the front. Didn't knew Mclaren was in points. You know it's a rare thing now a days.

It was by far the best race for me of 2017.
