Can't quite make it out, the flap on the edge of the floor looks a different shape.

We won't see any updates till tomorrow if there are going to bring any at all.

1. I don`t understand which is the reason/are the reasons behind having a horizontal lower position for the rear brake caliper and at the front brake they have an opposite one with a vertical caliper ...

2. Brake discs has 4 drill holes ... maybe they expect the rain? or just cooler track conditions? ...

3. That middle barge-board (with that lower elongated and twisted shape arm) is new? this twisted arm could act as a vortex generator?

The front brakes do more work, and hence need more cooling. As such, the front brake caliper is positioned such that it is optimal for braking performance. Positioning it at the rear gives the better airflow onto it through the brake duct.

At the rear, there is much less need of cooling (due to energy recovery and weight transfer). Therefore, they can push further with optimising towards other targets, and in this case, it's the optimum for lower CofG of the unsprung mass.

That entire article is just wild speculation, and not very good wild speculation at that.

No... Instead, it's been a thing for decades in F1 that the cars engines, cooling systems, brakes, transmissions etc all run in very narrowly defined, tuned windows, and there have been radio messages about cooling the car since long ago.

Is it me or has the Mercedes started using a bit more rake?? I think the two main reasons they got on top of their early seasons problems, are weight saving and understanding the tyres! Now they are able to win with whatever tyre compound in whatever track it seems!
